1986 Inductee Buddy Holly and his band, 2012 Inductees The Crickets, hit The Ed Sullivan Show stage for the very first time on December 1, 1957.
The group performed two of their biggest hits, “That’ll Be the Day” and “Peggy Sue,” introducing their groundbreaking sound to a massive television audience.
Buddy Holly and The Crickets returned for a second appearance on January 26, 1958, performing “Oh, Boy!”
