This is description
**“The less said about your agencies’ conduct, the better.”**
That was Justice Joymalya Bagchi’s remark in the Supreme Court today — and the context is raising serious questions.
The Court questioned the pace of the CBI/ED investigation linked to the **Leaps and Bounds** case, while the Solicitor General made an extraordinary claim: that the agencies were “substantially under the influence and control” of the accused.
At the same time, the defence alleged that **Sumit Roy**, an aide of Abhishek Banerjee, was being questioned for hours and repeatedly across different FIRs — including questions about political-party funding in a land-related case.
Two completely opposite complaints.
**One says the agencies are going too far. The other says they aren’t going far enough.**So the bigger question is: **Is the problem with how fast investigating agencies act — or who they choose to act against?**
The Supreme Court has sought the investigation record.
