The country's capital Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the late evening of Thursday, March 21, in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. His arrest has come at a time when Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in the country in a few days. Even nominations for the first phase of 102 Lok Sabha seats have started. In such a situation, while on one hand some supporters of AAP and Congress claim that Kejriwal's jail sentence can act as a weapon for political prospects in the Lok Sabha elections, on the other hand some analysts believe that Kejriwal's arrest so close to the elections would be a mistake. This may cause a big blow not only to the Aam Aadmi Party but also to the opposition.
देश की राजधानी दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल को प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने दिल्ली शराब नीति मामले में बीते गुरुवार यानी 21 मार्च की देर शाम गिरफ्तार कर लिया है. उनकी गिरफ्तारी ऐसे समय हुई है, जब देश में कुछ ही दिनों में लोकसभा चुनाव होने वाले हैं. यहां तक की पहले चरण की 102 लोकसभा सीटों पर नामांकन भी शुरू हो गए है. ऐसे में एक तरफ जहां आप और कांग्रेस के कुछ समर्थकों का दावा है कि केजरीवाल को हुई जेल लोकसभा चुनाव में राजनीतिक संभावनाओं के लिए एक हथियार की तरह काम कर सकती है तो वहीं कुछ विश्लेषक का मानना है कि चुनाव के इतने करीब आकर केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी से आम आदमी पार्टी ही नहीं बल्कि विपक्ष को भी बड़ा झटका लग सकता है
