YSR Congress Party leader and former Andhra Pradesh minister Ambati Rambabu has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the alleged Andhra Pradesh liquor transport tender scam. According to reports, the ED is investigating suspected irregularities, subcontracting arrangements and alleged diversion of funds linked to liquor transportation contracts during the previous YSRCP government. The ED had asked Ambati Rambabu to appear for questioning and provide details of bank transactions and other documents. Reports say that after an earlier notice, the agency asked him to appear again on September 24. Ambati, however, informed the ED that he had recently undergone heart stent procedures and was recovering on doctors’ advice.
